Alice Elizabeth Baker is a Textile Designer specialising in embroidery and embroidered embellishments. Her creative practice is driven by a playful and energetic exploration of colour, pattern and 3d forms. Drawing inspiration from the energy and movement of the natural world.

Through the Exploration of movement and fluidity, Alice investigates how colour transforms and behaves within nature. Her practice focuses on fabric manipulation, pleated structures and expressive embroidery that mimics her drawing style. By layering stitch, colour and forms she creates embroidered pieces that express the depth, movement and organic vitality found in nature. Alice is particularly interested in conceptual embroidery, encouraging her to think beyond surface decoration and use embroidery as a medium for storytelling and expression, bringing life to her designs. Graduating in Textile Design from The Glasgow School of Art 2025 and further studying on The CHANEL and Kings Foundation Métiers d‘art Embroidery Fellowship 2026
